Closely following the coast of Taiwan, starting from Hualien and proceeding counterclockwise, the ride will cover about 850 miles (1350km) with almost 70,000 ft (21,000m) of climbing. Each of the 4 points (westernmost, southernmost, etc.) of the island will be reached along the way. To culminate the lap of the island, after returning to Hualien, for an epic- and challenging finish- the final day of the ride will be up the Wuling Pass. Wuling is the site of the Taiwan KOM challenge, and one of the toughest climbs in Asia- or anywhere.
