Figure 8 / 4 Points Lap of Taiwan

Closely following the coast of Taiwan, starting from Hualien and proceeding counterclockwise, the ride will cover about 850 miles (1350km) with almost 70,000 ft (21,000m) of climbing, as fast as possible. Averaging around 200 miles (320km) per day, each of the 4 points (westernmost, southernmost, etc.) of the island will be reached along the way. To culminate the lap of the island, after returning to Hualien, for an epic- and challenging finish- the final day of the ride will be up the Wuling Pass.  Wuling is the site of the Taiwan KOM challenge, and one of the toughest climbs in Asia- or anywhere.
