Continuing my plan to visit every SRAM facility globally, I will start at SRAM’s new Canada office and head east toward the Quarq operation in Spearfish, South Dakota. The route will traverse the Canadian and US Rockies, Yellowstone National Park, and the Black Hills as I head east. The total route covers 1800 miles (2900km) with just over 100,000 feet (31,000m) of climbing. Planning approximately 2 weeks means I will average 130 miles and 7000 feet of climbing a day. Which doesn’t seem so bad when I realize the ride across the USA averaged 130 miles and 5000 feet of climbing per day.
